The Blessing of a Christian Wife

There is nothing quite like having a spouse who is trying to be all God called her to be. We are best friends and ministry partners. I want to help her find her place in the Kingdom and she stands behind me in my calling as well. She is a woman of the Word. Right now she is in two Life Transformation groups and reads 60 chapters of Scripture a week between the two groups of women. Since she is saturated with the Word she is also filled with wisdom and the Spirit. I am humbled to be her husband. Last Sunday at our gathering she gave a Word that God had given her and I will paste it below. Just by reading this you will get a sense of the power of the Spirit working in her life. Enjoy.... This was humbly submitted to the Church as we gathered and gave Jesus the lead.
3/3/06:
A Parable and Prayer:
I built an altar over my life. Some parts were made with rough-hewn stones. Over time, the stones became smooth, as refined in a fire. But others disappeared, and in their place appeared bricks. The bricks were made by my own hand as I treaded out the straw and mortar of my life in Egypt. The stones were made by the Lord's own hand, perfect in their imperfection!
The stones laid perfectly, one upon another. The bricks would sit atop the stones for a time, but eventually would begin to crumble and decay. Although some bricks remained only for a short time, other bricks seemed as though they would last forever.
Slowly, over time, as I would yield areas of my life to Jesus, a brick, sometimes more, would crumble, only to be replaced with a new stone hewn by the Master's hand. For everything that I built with my own hand, bricks would appear on the altar. But anything built by the Master's hand, appeared as stones on the altar. As my own selfish creation crumbles with each passing day, the altar is being re-formed and fitted with living stones, fitted together in perfect form, and no weapon formed against it shall destroy it.
Lord Jesus, my Master, put Your hand upon the altar I have built, and replace my bricks with Your stones. May the end of my days, when my time here is through, be an altar of stones reflective only of You!
A Poem: By The Spirit through Mrs. Michael Sove
I've built an altar of brick and stone,
made by my hands, by me alone;
from materials in Egypt
the land of slavery.
Look, come see how high it is;
give thanks, give praise to me.
God's building an altar of living stones
made by His Hand, by his Spirit alone;
from the Life He gave on Calvary
the curse of the Cross, all done for me.
Look, come see how high it is;
give thanks, give praise to Thee.
I'm building an alter, stone upon stone
from brick and from clay,
from a life now atoned;
turning bricks into diamonds,
the clay into gold,
Give thanks, give praise
It's Your Beauty I now hold!
My prayer for all of you is that you can experience the beauty of Christian marrige Two hearts intertwined, One Flesh, Unstoppable and a threat to the enemy.
