Claiming a New Community for Christ

God is so good! Now that our condo in Ohio has sold we are beginning the process of settling in Maryland. The foundation for our new townhouse was poured this week.

The name of this new community is called Cedar Commons and is located in Fruitland, Maryland. We will be some of the first new residents to move in. The plan for this community is to build 27 single family homes, 50 duplexes and 79 townhouses. We have asked the Lord to place us in this community so we can influence this community for Him!

This is a wonderful location for Cary and I because it is right off the bypass one exit west of where the new church facility is located. We will be three miles door to door and all bypass driving! We have been driving over here and praying over this land now for the last two months. Our Cell group is going to adopt this community and as new residents come in we are going to deliver welcome to the community care packages to them. It looks like we should be able to close on this by the end of June and move in sometime in July.

When you think of us, please join us in prayer for the people of Cedar Commons. Ask God to bring the right people here. People who are open and receptive to the Gospel. Pray for God's favor on us as we follow Him and reach out to our new community. By the way pray for your community as well. God wants to use you right where you are to influence your neighborhood.
